What is remedial massage?

Remedial massage therapy is the treatment and manipulation of soft tissue or muscles that are damaged, immobile, tense or knotted. It aims to address the cause of symptoms and pain through assessment, analysis and treatment. It is also used to speed up the body’s own healing process. 

Remedial massage is designed to balance soft tissue/muscle length, tension, tone which will in turn promote the return to normal joint/bone/capsular position; increase blood and lymph circulation, particularly in the injured areas, thus removing damaged cells, blockages, scar tissue and adhesions resulting from injury.
